State Biomonitoring Grants

State Hygienic Laboratory and University of Iowa (SHL UI)

The Biomonitoring Iowa program will assess exposures to heavy metals, pesticides, and environmental phenols among state residents using private well water. The program will also assess maternal exposure to metals and pesticides during pregnancy using residual samples from the Maternal-Fetal Tissue Bank at the University of Iowa.
