Publication of Annual Vital Statistics Summary Report
CDC's National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) has
released vital statistics (provisional data on the number and rate
of births, marriages, divorces, and deaths) for 1991. Monthly
estimates and rates are included for each vital event.
The report presents statistics on the expectation of life,
major causes of death, deaths from human immunodeficiency virus
infection, and infant mortality. Data by state of occurrence are
shown for birth, marriage, divorce, death, and infant death.
