摘要

工作场所是对面临健康风险的大批成年人提供有效慢性病干预计划的强有力环境。错过预防性医疗照护是低收入和没有医疗保险的工人所特有的问题。工人患慢性病的成本,包括医疗费、生产率损失和员工更替成本,已促使雇主寻求既有效又合乎成本效益的健康促进干预手段。工作场所有四种途径提供预防性干预手段:医疗保险、工作场所政策、健康促进计划以及宣传。对于每一种途径,各项证据都描述了若干适用于工作场所的预防性干预手段。依据这些证据及我们在华盛顿州所做的工作,我们提出了经由工作场所预防慢性病的公共卫生方法。除依赖证据外,该方法为雇主制定了一项有说服力的预防干预商务案例。
