Vision Health Initiative (VHI) Help
Introduction

CDC’s Vision Health Initiative (VHI) helps inform and guide partners in developing vision loss prevention and eye health promotion strategies. This application presents data for Blind or Serious Difficulty Seeing, Visual Impairment, Eye Disease and Injury, and Access and Utilization of Eye Care Services. The interactive maps present prevalence of eye conditions, vision loss, and access to eye care for the state, by racial/ethnic group, gender, education, and diabetes.

You can explore VHI topics for a single location or select a year to compare data across locations. From the VHI system, you can also access the Data Portal where you can create filtered views of datasets and download data.
