Help: Explore by Indicator

The Topic and Category options vary by Data Source (1). Use the Go button to update the visualization pane. Multiple indicators may be available based on the Data Source, Topic, and Category selected (2).

The default view is the map. Chart and table views are available (3). Year, Age Group, and other options vary by the data available for each indicator. As options are selected, the visualization updates below (4). Use the Reset button to return to the default options.

On the map view, the National value is included above the map (5). All available state data will be displayed on the map; if no state data are provided, the map will not display (6). Click a state to see the pop-up to see data value, 95% confidence interval, and sample size (7). Use zoom in/out, and map reset to explore the map. Configure the map display using the Legend Settings (8).

On the Chart & Table views, choose an option from the Compare drop-down to compare data within a group. The chart view will display multiple bars for each location and the table view will display multiple columns in the table for each location (10).

Footnotes, Notes, and Measure Definitions

If footnotes are provided, the Footnote symbol & text will appear directly below the visualization, above the Data Source (11). Notes and Measure Definitions are displayed based on the data seen in view above (12).

PDF & CSV Export

The PDF export is available for the map and table views showing the visualization with options selected on screen with titles, footnotes, notes, and citation (13). The CSV export contains all data seen in visualization. Footnotes, notes, and citation are included in the file. The CSV export option is not available for IRIS data only.
