How to Add a Dependent in V-safe for Mpox Vaccine
View Table of Contents ›
Enrollment in v-safe for the mpox vaccine will close on March 21, 2023. As with all vaccines used in the United States, CDC will continue to monitor the safety of mpox vaccines and ensure that those affected and at risk of mpox have access to the services they need.

You can add a dependent (family member, friend, or individual who relies on you for support) who has received any dose of mpox vaccine in v-safe. Children under age 16 years must be added to a parent or guardian’s v-safe account.
If you do not have a v-safe for mpox account, go to How to Enroll or Access Your V-safe for Mpox Account for instructions. Creating an account to add a dependent does not require that you enter your own vaccination information or complete health check-ins for yourself.
