State, tribal, territorial, and local immunization programs and health departments have received $6.7 billion since January 2021 to support COVID-19 vaccination as part of the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act. In support of equitable vaccine uptake in communities disproportionately affected by COVID-19, CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases provides multiple resources to support jurisdictions and community-based organizations with COVID-19 vaccination efforts.

12 COVID-19 Vaccination Strategies for Your Community Field Guide
Developed by Vaccinate with Confidence, the COVID-19 Vaccination Field Guide outlines selected strategies to help increase vaccine confidence and uptake. These strategies were drawn from historical (non-COVID-19) vaccination efforts and supported by positive outcomes from evaluation research. Field Guide users can submit feedback and strategy examples to confidenceconsults@cdc.gov.

Guide for Awardees to Increase Vaccine Uptake
In January 2021, CDC released a Guide for Awardees for the 64 state and local health department awardees to support them in using $6.7 billion in funding for community-driven approaches to develop, implement, and monitor strategies.

CDC released a short two-pager, COVID-19 Vaccine Equity: Best Practices for Community and Faith-Based Organizations, providing an overview of strategies and interventions detailed in the Guide for Community Partners.

The Guide for Jurisdictions to Expand COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution to Primary Care Providers outlines a data-driven approach that jurisdictions can use to increase vaccination opportunities provided by primary care providers and medical offices, especially in communities that are socially marginalized.

Success Framework for Adult Immunization Partner Networks
The Success Framework for Adult Immunization Partner Networks is a guide for awardees to support building partnerships to increase vaccine uptake. This resource contains questions and recommended actions designed to help awardees expand operational capacity, improve routine adult vaccination coverage, and reduce longstanding disparities in adult vaccination rates.

CDC Vaccine Equity Event: Spotlight on Community-Based Organizations
This webinar introduces the new program, Partnering for Vaccine Equity, which supports national, medical, non-profit, academic, faith-based, and community-based organizations in their work to increase vaccine confidence and vaccine uptake.
