    Tyler with her baby

    Tyler’s Story

    Tyler, a photographer from rural Alabama, smoked her first cigarette at age 9. By the time she was 16, Tyler smoked every day and eventually began smoking a pack each day. Tyler and her husband wanted to have a baby, so Tyler decided to call 1-800-QUIT-NOW for help to quit smoking. Tyler says without hesitation, “Calling that number changed my life.”

    Anne’s Story

    Anne, a single mom from Indiana, tried to quit smoking many times. Seeing a CDC Tips from Former Smokers® ad gave her hope and a glimpse of what a cigarette-free life can be like. Anne quit with the support of her family, and was more determined to never smoke again. Anne says she’s living better than she ever imagined.
