Health-care worker (HCW) education and training on TB infection and disease is an essential part of a TB infection control program.  Education and training should emphasize the increased risks posed by an undiagnosed person with TB disease in a health-care setting and the specific measures to reduce this risk. Health-care settings should document that all HCWs, including physicians, have received training relevant to their work setting.
