As in previous years, in 2018, rates of reported P&S syphilis cases were highest among persons aged 25–29 years. In 2018, the highest rates were observed among men aged 25–29 years (55.7 cases per 100,000 males), 30–34 years (45.8 cases per 100,000 males), and 20–24 years (44.6 cases per 100,000 males). The highest rates among women were among those aged 20–24 years (10.0 cases per 100,000 females) and those aged 25–29 years (9.4 cases per 100,000 females).
