CDC partnered with AmeriCorps to launch Public Health AmeriCorps. This program supports whole community efforts to build a diverse workforce that is ready to respond to the public health needs of their communities. More than 80 grantee organizations (e.g., public health agencies, national organizations, state and local governments, institutes of higher education, community health centers) are recruiting nearly 3,000 members to serve communities across the country.
