Reactivation Chagas Disease in the HIV/AIDS Patient
In HIV/AIDS patients, reactivation risk rises with the severity of immunosuppression.
The signs are most commonly those of meningoencephalitis and/or mass lesions resembling CNS toxoplasmosis.
Acute reactivation myocarditis can be superimposed on chronic cardiomyopathy.
Mortality is high.
