Foundations: Building the Safest Dental Visit is a web-based, interactive, self-paced training with audiovisual material designed to enhance learners’ understanding of the basic expectations for safe care in dental settings. The training videos, available here, can also be used in conjunction with the Basic Expectations for Safe Care Modules to provide education on the basic principles and practices for preventing the spread of infections to dental health care personnel and between patients. Infection prevention coordinators and faculty of dental assisting, dental hygiene, and dental programs can use these videos to provide the ongoing education and training critical for ensuring that infection prevention policies and procedures are understood and followed.
