Laws Protecting Young Workers – Child Labor Standards
A healthcare provider should have access to child labor standards to help determine whether a job is appropriate for the adolescent worker. Because the restrictions are complicated and have a number of exemptions, clinicians will find it useful to have a copy of the restrictions in their office as a reference.
