POST-TRAVEL PLANNING
Often, the employee focuses the most energy on pre-travel planning and getting to the destination. As the work assignment ends, remind your employee to turn attention to completing onsite activities and communications, and on the upcoming transition to daily life at home. Make sure you review the post-travel plan with your employee. Include any required reports or appointments for health scans or follow up examinations. Help the employee plan leave for rest and reorientation that will be needed when the employee returns. Make sure your employee understands that you support leave time to readjust.
