Subject: Respirator Manufacturers Meeting April 10th, 11th, and 12th, 2007

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), National Personal Protective Technology Laboratory (NPPTL), is hosting a meeting for all respirator manufacturers. The meeting will be held on April 10, 11, and 12, 2007, and will be held at the NIOSH-NPPTL site in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

All manufacturers, manufacturer application preparers, and other interested parties are welcome to attend.

The formal presentations will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, and continue throughout Wednesday, April 11, 2007. There is open time set aside on the mornings of April 10 and April 12 to allow time for personal appointments with NPPTL personnel and/or to participate in laboratory tours.

Please review the posted agenda for the discussion topics and the available time periods to meet with NPPTL staff and/or participate in tours of the NPPTL laboratory.

A sleeping room block has been set up at the Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh South for the evening of April 10, 2007. To make hotel reservations, please contact the Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh South directly at 412-833-5300 or 1-800-2CROWNE. By mentioning the NIOSH-NPPTL meeting, a discounted rate of $91 per night will be granted. Driving directions are posted.

Because the meeting will be held at the NIOSH-NPPTL site, it is very important that you complete a registration form and submit it to the NPPTL Event Management Office. You may register electronically or download the Adobe pdf version of the registration form and send it by e-mail (npptlevents@cdc.gov) or fax (304-225-2003).

If you are not a U.S. citizen, you must complete the posted NIOSH Security Information Requirements for International Visitors Form and submit it to NPPTL Event Management at least 10 business days before the event. NIOSH approval must be granted before admittance to the NIOSH site will be allowed. All meeting attendees must show a valid photo I.D. (preferably a driver’s license), and all foreign national citizens must show a current passport, before admittance to the site will be permitted.
