Warehouse worker dies when he falls through a skylight.
Morgantown, WV: U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Public Health Service, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, FACE 09CA007, 2010 Jan; :1-9
A 56-year-old warehouse worker died when he fell through a skylight on the roof of a warehouse. The victim had been allowed to climb onto the roof to service an air conditioning unit. This was not part of his usual duties. The victim's employer did not have procedures for working on the roof. The CA/FACE investigator determined that, in order to prevent future incidents, employers of warehouse workers should ensure that warehouse workers do not perform any duties outside the scope of their normal assignment.
