The student manual has been prepared to aid the student in learning the course material for a two-week course in "Industrial Hygiene Measurements". This manual is to be used in conjunction with the lectures and laboratories. It will give the student a permanent record of the course. The manual will allow him to continue studyiing after completion of the ocurse by referral to the outline, his notes, and other references. The course is recommended for industrial hytienists, engineers, chemists, etc., who are new to the field and who will have a direct responsibility in these subject areas of industrial hygiene. The remainder of this introduction describes the course objectives, subject areas and the organization and format of the documentation in each subject area, including lecture and laboratory lesson plans.
