The authors wish to make a correction concerning a figure and a table published in a previous issue of Clinical & Experimental Allergy (36(8):1078
http://dx.doi.org/10.1111/j.1365-2222.2006.02531.x ) . In the paper, the y-axis of Fig. 2 should have been calibrated in micromolar and not in millimolar units as published. The authors would like to express that the aim of displaying Fig. 2 is to demonstrate a correlation between individual allergen concentrations in latex serum and the abundance of their corresponding mRNAs. This figure and the correlation that it shows remain unchanged regardless of whether the y-axis is calibrated correctly in micromolar or erroneously in millimolar. In Table 3, the last value in the second column should read 0.0099 (rounded up to 0.010) and not 0.099 as published. Similarly, the authors would like to express that the aim of displaying the last value in the second column of Table 3 is to show that the value lies between the median percentile cut-off of 0.001 micromolar and the 75th percentile cut-off of 0.116 micromolar. Both the correct value and the erroneous value fall between the median and 75th percentile cut-offs. As such, the authors would like to highlight that these errors have no bearing on either the interpretation of the experimental results or the conclusions drawn in the paper.
