Abstract
Control banding is a practical risk assessment and management approach for controlling workplace chemical exposures. This workshop will describe this approach through the GTZ Chemical Management Guide, using step-by-step techniques to identify and reduce costs and risks related to chemicals. Steps include making a chemical inventory, identifying chemical hot spots, observing and calculating potential chemical losses, assessing risk, determining action, implementing measures, monitoring and evaluating results.
