A NEW project aims to gain a better understanding of the distribution and prevalence of black lung in US coal miners, in a renewed effort by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health and the Mine Safety and Health Administration to increase participation in screening for the disease and motivate miners to take preventative actions.
