Abstract
The health and safety of our "first responders" is a critical element of maintaining a safe environment for our society. This session will provide the latest recommendations for medical requirements of police officer and fire fighter. The importance of coordinating forensic investigations among law enforcement, intelligence agencies and public health officers will also be addressed. This session should be of interest to physicians who are involved in the health and safety of police officers, fire fighters, and emergency medical technicians, in disaster planning, and in emergency response.
