Assessment of ergonomic risk factors among operators of heavy earthmoving machinery.
Proceedings of the 2003 ASSE Professional Development Conference. Des Plaines, IL: American Society of Safety Engineers, 2003 Jun; :1-11
Little research has been performed that systematically characterizes the exposure of operating engineers to ergonomic hazards. This study's objectives were to evaluate the following: vibration at the seat/operator interface; transmissibility of vibration in the Z-axis; psychophysical ratings of vibration level and vibration discomfort; and postural requirements of the job.
