General estimates of work-related noises.

General estimated are given for various work-related noises. They range from a 12-gauge shotgun at 165 decibels to a whisper at 30 decibels. Some of the others include a chain saw at 110 decibels and a jet engine at 140 decibels. Any noise above 85 decibels may cause hearing loss.
