Literature search strategy for criteria document subjects.
NIOSH, 1975 Jan; :1-76
The definition of terms with which the literature search is to begin involves collecting all synonyms and variant spellings of the given chemical hazards as well as identifying the CAS registry number. These lists are to be used by the searchers as guides for choosing the term or terms appropriate to the index or database to be searched. For example, the correct chemical name may be used in chemical abstracts, whereas the brand name may be used in trade-journal articles.
