Method for the Decomposition of Hydrogen Sulfide.

U S Pat 3 933 608 1976 Jan; :
The concentration of h2s in industrial gas byproducts could be reduced by exposing h2s-containing gas to a silent electrical discharge to effect decomposition of h2s to s and h2. When poly(chlorotrifluoroethylene) was added to the predischarge zone, the h2s conversion tripled. Optimum voltage, h2s concentration, temperature, and pressure for h2s decomposition are given.
