Abstract
An electrolyte bath of molten alkali metal cyanide or cyanide- cyanate solutions exposed to air or o2 at 350 deg.-600 Deg. C is used to deposit coatings of pt, pd, or pt-pd alloys on the cathode. Coats that are at least 5 mils thick may be plated on many commercial metal substrates.
