Simultaneous Determination of Chromium(VI) and Chromium(III) by Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometry With a Chelating Ion-exchange Flow Injection System.

This paper describes an alternative approach to quantification of chromium(VI) and chromium(III). A chelating ion-exchange column is used to separate and preconcentrate chromium(III) from chromium(VI). The method presented utilized a single pump, single valve manifold, and uses a less expensive flame atomic absorption spectroscopy detector that allows for an increased sampling rate (120 analyses per hour) while sacrificing only slightly the limits of detection.
