Gainsharing is an organizational development technique that uses a communication and idea evaluation network, with a group incentive system, to establish a positive relationship between management and employees. This U.S. Bureau of Mines paper presents a possible structure for a mining company gainsharing plan. It has two fundamental components: a management-miner communication network and a bonus plan.
