Theory and optimization of the pulsed NMR driven equilibrium technique (letter to the editor).

This letter reports a bloch equation analysis of the driven equilibrium fourier transform (deft) pulse technique resulting in the optimization of the recycling time, for purposes of speeding signal averaging, for the general case of t1, spin-lattice, and t2, spin-spin, relaxation times not necessarily equal. Some other uses and modifications of the technique are suggested.
