Non-energy Uses for Fuels.

The use of fossil fuels for nonenergy uses in the United States and Canada has grown rapidly and has reached 10 percent of consumption. Many factors have contributed to this growth--new products, new technology, and an affluent and expanding economy. Factors influencing future of chemicals production from fossil fuels are discussed.
