Encyclo Occupational Health & Safety 2:889-892
The production of dust in mining is associated with the extracting of coal or mineral from the solid seam. The methods of determining the dust hazard and preventive measures for control of dust are discussed. As there is no universally applicable dust standard, typical dust standards from a number of countries are presented.
