Methane/hydrogen Mixture as a Fuel for Spark-ignition Engines.
2D Conf on Nat Gas Res & Tech Am Gas Assoc & the Inst of Gas Tech Atlanta PP 1-8 :1-8
Experimental work was done using methane/hydrogen fuel in a single cylinder, variable compression ratio engine. Fuel economy and emissions were measured. The objective was to determine characteristics of the mixture as the fuel in a low-emission, high- efficiency engine. Results suggest that methane/hydrogen may enable engine operation under conditions that are simultaneously conducive to improved fuel economy and low emissions.
