Methods and Equipment for Measuring Subsidence.

This report describes measurement techniques and equipment that are appropriate for determining the horizontal and vertical components of displacement and strain, tilt and curvature. Particular attention is given to the principal characteristics and uses of monuments, extensometers, tapes, electronic distance-measuring instruments, theodolite, alignment telescope, spirit level, tilt meter, and borehole inclinometer probe.
