The Use of Natural Gas and Oxygen in the Stack and Tuyeres of an Experimental Blast Furnace.

Hot reducing gases (principally h2 and co) were injected into the stack to augment normal iron reduction. Iron production increased 40 percent; coke rate diminished correspondingly. Natural gas and oxygen were injected through the tuyeres for comparison.
