Although the effects of moisture or temperature on rock properties have been previously studied, their combined effect on rock properties is unknown. In this study, uniaxial compressive strength, young's and stiffness moduli, and longitudinal wave velocity were determined and compared under controlled conditions of temperature, moisture, and pressure for eleven environments considered to be of particular interest in laboratory, in situ, and even in simulated lunar environments.
