Ultrasonic solvation of coal in quinoline and other solvents (letter to the editor).

The purpose of this letter is to report the high yield of dissolved material obtained by the extraction of coal in quinoline using ultrasonic energy. Seventy-nine percent of Pittsburgh seam HVAB coal was dissolved by irradiating a coal-solvent slurry at approximately 36 deg C for 24 hours.
