Gasflood improves Appalachian recovery.
Petrol Eng 1970 Jul; 42(7):79, 82, 84
The Bureau of Mines has been investigating the susceptibility of Appalachian oil reservoirs to various improved recovery methods. One study showed that gasflooding of the cooper sand of the fork run pool in Pennsylvania would result in the economic recovery of 1,753,000 barrels or 21 percent of the 8,200,000 barrels of oil in place at the beginning of the flood.
