Inverse gas-liquid chromatographic studies of asphalt. Variations in experimental parameters.
Barbour-FA; Dorrence-SM; Petersen-JC
Anal Chem 1970 May; 42(6):668-670
In this report, a study is made of variations in the experimental parameters in the iglc technique, showing how these variations affect the retention behavior of the test compounds. The parameters considered are carrier-gas pressure and flow rate, column temperature, size of column packing, size of sample of test compound, possible column poisoning and presence of water in the test compounds. A revised method for calculating the interaction coefficient is presented.
