Results of drilling, chemical analyses, and tests on several properties in the county indicate the presence of small to large quantities of limestone, suitable for a variety of purposes, including road construction and chemical uses. The deposits have sufficient length, width, and depth, as indicated from drilling exposures, to be attractive for further exploration. In the course of drilling, a clay deposit which may have potential for glazed brick and pottery was found and further exploration and tests on this property appear warranted.
