Determination of the Be-auger-electron attenuation length in Be using 160-Kev protons.

Preliminary results are reported for a unique method that utilizes proton-excited auger electrons to determine inelastic attenuation lengths of electrons in solids. These results will be highly significant for the quantification of electron spectroscopy techniques.
