Proc 5th Miner Waste Util Symp Chicago Illinois, 1976 Apr; :68-74
This Bureau of Mines paper presents the results of research on a number of diverse waste products that were treated to recover valuable and recyclable products. The work includes processing such materials as tailings from sulfide milling operations and waste granite fines to cover specification-grade feldspar products; foundry sands to reclaim brass and sand; secondary copper blast furnace slag to recover copper; granite dimension stone sawing sludge to reclaim recyclable silicon carbide cutting media; and waste phospho-gypsum to recover a potentially usable gypsum product for wallboard manufacture.
