Abstract
This paper discusses the federal Bureau of Mines research and development of the citrate process for removing SO2 from stack gases. The discussion covers the operation of a pilot plant that assesses the feasibility of flue gas desulfurization. Operating costs for a citrate plant and capital charges are included.
