Limestone for Controlling Acid Mine Drainage and for Treatment of Acid Mine Water.

This paper discusses how limestone can be used effectively in treating acid mine water. It emphasizes the lower cost than for other treatment agents and the advantages of easy storage as well as its use in waste piles and the formation of a low-cost autogenous resilient seal.
