Abstract
Bauxite and bauxite clay have been mined in the Eufaula Bauxite District since 1927, but other clay associated with bauxite has been considered waste and has never been used commercially. Results of a comprehensive geologic survey and ceramic evaluation of clay resources in the bauxite district indicate that reserves of clay suitable for use in the manufacture of heavy clay products exceed 50 million tons.
