Physiological Evaluation of Grass Plants for Stabilizing Metal Mine Tailings.

The report describes testing of selected grasses for tolerance to zinc, lead, copper, sodium chloride, drouth, and acidity. Assays were also made for the ability of the grasses to fix nitrogen. In general, the grasses tested are relatively tolerant to the metals tested and have potential for the revegetation of tailings areas.
