Scaleup of Hydrometallurgical Leach Recovery Processes.
For Reference Only At Bureau Libraries :76 pages
The report describes an empirical and a semitheoretical model of the leaching of chalcocite-type concentrates in an oxygen-ammonia containing environment. The empirical model is not responsive to changes in particle size distribution, mineralogy, or concentrate grade. The semitheoretical model in conjunction with experimental data indicated that chalcocite is first converted to covellite which then is very slowly converted to sulfate, a more soluble compound of copper.
