Abstract
This report presents a computer model to perform cost analysis on a wide range of surface coal mining operations. The model generates a selling price for coal based on a combination of many engineering and economic variables. While the model is free-standing, the input data for the model can be generated from the geologic and engineering information using the computer models presented in volumes II and III of this report. The model can be executed with limited data using the default values where information is scarce.
