Abstract
The report describes information obtained from a literature search and site visits related to heap-leaching practices for low-grade uranium ore. Comparative cost and energy analyses for each of four methods for leaching uranium ore are described. The analyses indicate that conventional heap leaching is the most cost and energy efficient process. A detailed design for a field-scale heap- leaching test program is described.
