A Review of the Curve-fitting Method of Least Squares as Applied to Petroleum Engineering.
MISSING :27 pages
Many computer programs have been written which are capable of performing a least squares fit, both linear and nonlinear, to data gathered by the petroleum researcher. However, when the petroleum engineer tries to program methods of analysis he has used manually in the past, such as forecasting production by decline-curve analysis, more than a knowledge of the use of existing least squares programs becomes necessary. It is the intent of the authors to report the techniques used in the development of such a decline- curve program. (Out of print.)
